14-7. M1088 UPPER PLATFORM REPLACEMENT (CONT)
c. Assembly
WARNING
Adhesives, solvents, and sealing com-
pounds can burn easily, can give off
harmful vapors, and are harmful to skin
and clothing. Keep away from open fire
and use in a well-ventilated area. Failure
to comply may result in injury to
personnel. If adhesive, solvent, or sealing
compound gets on skin or clothing, wash
immediately with soap and water.
NOTE
Perform steps (1) through (14) on vehicles
equipped with gladhand selector valves.
(1) Apply antiseize compound to inside threads of fittings (1
and 2).
(2) Install two labels (3) and fittings (1 and 2) in platform (4)
with two washers (5) and nuts (6).
(3) Apply antiseize compound to threads of two 45-degree
fittings (7).
(4) Install two 45-degree fittings (7) in fittings (1 and 2).
(5) Install two gladhand selector valves (8) in fittings (1 and
2).
(6) Install pedestal (9) on platform (4) with washer (10),
lockwasher (11) and nut (12).
(7) Install two dummy connectors (13) on pedestal (9) with
two screws (14) and self-locking nuts (15).
(8) Install eye ring (16) in pedestal (9) with self-locking nut
(17).
