11-22. SECONDARY AND PRIMARY AIR TANKS REPLACEMENT (CONT)
e. Primary Air Tank Removal.
NOTE
Tag air hoses and connection points prior to
disconnecting.
(1) Disconnect air hoses (1, 2, and 3) from branch tee
fittings (4, 5, and 6).
(2) Disconnect air hoses (7, 8, and 9) from branch tee
fittings (4, 5, and 6).
NOTE
Vehicles may be equipped with either
corrosion enhanced clamps or non-
corrosion enhanced clamps. Corrosion
enhanced clamps have a self-locking nut
and work lining. When removing a non-
corrosion enhanced clamp, replace it with
a corrosion enhanced clamp.
Perform steps (3) through (4.3) on vehicles not
equipped with corrosion enhanced clamps.
(3) Remove two screws (10) on clamps (11).
(4) Remove primary air tank (12) from clamps (11).
(4.1) Remove two clamps (11) from battery box (12.1).
Discard clamps and screws.
