Inspect bearing retainer (10) for cracks and damaged threads. Replace retainer (10) if cracked or
threads are damaged
13.
Inspect adjusting nut (11) for cracks and damaged threads. Replace adjust nut (11) if cracked or
teeth are damaged.
14.
Inspect piston plug (13) for cracks, chipped or broken O-ring lips, and damaged or spanned holes.
Replace piston plug (13) if cracked or damaged.
15.
Inspect check valve seats (12) for nicks and burrs on seat surface and damaged slots or threads.
Remove minor nicks and burrs. Replace check valve seats (12) is otherwise damaged.
16.
Perform the following for all parts (except as noted):
a. Remove minor nicks, burrs, and scoring with soft stone or crocus cloth.
b. Replace all cracked, broken, or discolored parts.
c. Chipped seal or O-ring grooves require part replacement.
d. No repair to piston housing can be made. Replace piston housing if damaged.
