Step 20. Remove pressure gauge from rear winch directional control valve.
NOTE
Ensure engine is off.
Have drainage container ready to catch oil.
a. Remove plug (2) from hose assembly (1) and cap (3) from tee (4).
b. Install hose assembly (1) on tee (4).
c. Remove pressure gauge (7), connector (8), hose (6), and connector (5) from rear winch
control valve (9).
d. Install plug (14) in cover plate (11).
NOTE
If gauge port cover plate of rear winch control valve is equipped
with a pipe plug, proceed to step g. If gauge port cover plate is not
equipped with a pipe plug, proceed to step e.
e. Remove four screws (13), lockwashers (12), cover plate assembly (11), and O-ring (10)
from rear winch control valve (9). Discard O-ring (10) and lockwashers (12).
f. Install new O-ring (10) and cover plate assembly (11) on rear winch control valve (9)
with four new lockwashers (12) and screws (13).
g. Install rear winch control valve covers (17) and (18) on wrecker (19) with twelve new
lockwashers (16) and screws (15).
Step 21. Install pressure gauge (Appendix E, Item 168) on boom control valve (step 9).
Step 22. Check boom relief pressure (step 11), and adjust as required (para. 4-204).
Step 23. Remove pressure gauge from boom control valve (step 17).
END OF TESTING!
