f. Remove hose assembly (1) from tee (4).
g. Install appropriate plug (2) in hose assembly (1) and cap (3) on tee (4).
Step 19. Check rear winch control valve pressure. Start engine, place transfer case in neutral, engage
crane hydraulic system, place torque selector in low torque, high-speed position, and move
rear winch control valve to UNWIND (TM 9-2320-272-10). Record pressure. Shut down
engine. Proper pressure is 1,600-1,700 psi (11,032-11,722 kPa).
a. If rear winch control valve pressure is 1,600-1,700 psi (11,032-11,722 kPa), replace boom
control valve (para. 4-201), and check and adjust boom relief pressure (steps 20
through 23).
b. If rear winch control valve pressure is less than 1,600 psi (11,032 kPa), adjust rear
winch control valve pressure. Remove relief valve adjusting screw cap, loosen jamnut,
and turn adjusting screw to obtain correct pressure reading.
c. If relief pressure cannot be adjusted, replace rear winch control valve (para. 4-179),
check and adjust rear winch control valve pressure, adjust boom relief pressure (steps 20
through 23), and replace boom control valve (para. 4-201) if boom relief pressure cannot
be adjusted properly.
d. If rear winch control valve pressure can be adjusted, adjust boom relief pressure (steps
20 through 23).
e. If rear winch control valve pressure is greater than 1,700 psi (11,722 kPa), adjust rear
winch control valve pressure. Remove relief valve adjusting screw cap, loosen jamnut,
and turn adjusting screw to obtain correct pressure reading.
f. If rear winch control valve pressure can be adjusted, replace boom control valve
(para. 4-201), and check and adjust boom relief pressure (steps 20 through 23).
g. If rear winch control valve pressure cannot be adjusted, replace rear winch control valve
(para. 4-179), check and adjust rear winch control valve pressure, replace boom control
valve (para. 4-201), and check and adjust boom relief pressure (steps 20 through 23).
