GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
General mechanic's tool kit (Appendix E, Item 1)
Stand clear of boom during raising and lowering.
PERSONNEL REQUIRED
Assistant must remain at crane controls while
work is being done under boom.

Disconnect gondola floodlight wire leads (2) from floodlight (1).
2.
Remove three screws (19), clamps (3), and gondola floodlight wire (18) from gondola (20).
3.
Pull gondola floodlight wire (11) through side plate (4).
4.
Disconnect leads (9) of oil reservoir floodlight wire (11) from oil reservoir floodlight (10).
5.
Remove three screws (8), clamps (12), and oil reservoir floodlight wire (11) from side plate (13).
6.
Pull gondola floodlight wire (11) through side plate (13).
WARNING
Assistant must remain at crane controls until removal operation
is completed. Injury to personnel may result if boom control
lever is accidentally engaged while work is being done between
raised boom and swivel base.
All personnel must stand clear during hoisting operations. A
snapped cable, or swinging or shifting load, may result in injury
to personnel.
NOTE
Assistant will operate crane. Mechanic will continue with removal
operation after boom has been raised.
7.
Raise boom (5) to a 45-degree position (TM 9-2320-272-10).
8.
Disconnect crane harness leads (6) from floodlight wire leads (7).

Remove six screws (21), clamps (15), and crane harness (14) from turntable (22) and side plates (4)
and (13).
10.
Disconnect crane harness leads (17) from swivel leads (16) and remove crane harness (14) from
vehicle.
