Slide input gear (3) onto long side of drive gear (2) with large flange side first.

Position drive gear (2) in PTO housing (1) with short part of drive gear (2) meshing with output
gear (9).
NOTE
Use oil-soluble grease to hold thrust washer in place.

Place new thrust washer (7) between input gear (3) and idler pin hole (4) so tab (8) sits in housing
slot (6).

Place new thrust washer (7) between drive gear (2) and idler pin hole (4) so tab (8) sits in housing
slot (6).
21.
Using arbor press, press idler pin (5) completely through PTO housing (1) until both ends of idler
pm (5) are flush with PTO housing (1).

Install lube adapter (15) and plug (19) in idler pin (5).
Install setscrew (17) in PTO-to-transmission flange (18). Ensure screw (17) is aligned with groove in

idler pin (5).

Install new O-ring (23) on shaft of gear controller (12).
25.
Install spring (21) and poppet (22) in hole scribed for installation in shifter cover (10).
26.
Install gear controller (12) on shifter cover (10) with new lockwasher (27), screw (26), lever (29), and
washer (28).
27.
Align lever (29) to scribe marks on shifter cover (10). Ensure point (24) on gear controller (12)
engages dimple (25) in poppet (22).
28.
Install two new gaskets (13), spacer (20), and shifter cover (10) on PTO housing (1) with four
screws (11). Tighten screws (11) 8-10 lb-ft (11-14 Nm). Ensure gear controller (12) engages
input gear (3).
29.
Install new woodruff key (14) on PTO output driveshaft (16).
