Check output shaft (1) end play with dial indicator. Output shaft (1) should turn freely and end play

must not exceed .006 in. (0.152 mm).
NOTE
If end play exceeds .006 in. (0.152 mm), remove gasket(s). If end
play is too small, add gasket(s) to increase end play.
Adjust output shaft (1) end play by using prybar through hole (2) and forcing shaft (1) up and down.

Install new output shaft oil seal (3) on output shaft (1) until flush with outside edge of output
