Coat both sides of new gasket (2) with sealing compound and position gasket (2) on gearcase (1).

Position cover (3) on gearcase (1) and install with two new lockwashers (6), four screws (4), and
screws (5).
FOLLOW-ON TASKS:
Install front winch level wind (if removed) (para. 4-174).
Install winch cable tensioner (para. 4-173).
Install winch roller (para. 4-175).
Install front winch (para. 3-329).
Fill winch with lubricant (LO 9-2320-272-12).
