Work area must be clean and free from blowing dust
Gasket (Appendix D, Item 205)
and dirt.
Lubrication valve (Appendix D, Item 422)
Spring guide (Appendix D, Item 671)
Valve spring (Appendix D, Item 709)
Antiseize tape (Appendix C, Item 72)
CAUTION
Clean around lubrication valve area to prevent entry of dirt.
Damage to transmission may occur if dirt or dust enters
transmission.
a. Removal
NOTE
l Perform step 1 for vehicles equipped with front winch.
Perform step 2 for vehicles equipped with transmission power
l
takeoff (PTO).
l Have container ready to catch oil.

Remove locknut (1), screw (6), two clamps (2), and hoses (3) and (5) from hanger strap (4). Discard
locknut (1).
Remove transmission-to-PTO supply hose (7) and adapter (8) from elbow (10).

Disconnect transmission oil filter-to-transmission supply hose (11) from elbow (10).
3.
Remove elbow (10) and O-ring (12) from lubrication valve housing (13). Discard O-ring (12).

Remove two screws (9), lubrication valve housing (13), gasket (14), spring guide (15), lubrication

valve (16), and valve spring (17) from transmission (18). Discard gasket (14), spring guide (15),
lubrication valve (16), and valve spring (17).
