NOTE
l During rebuild, injectors and valves are "cold set" with
temperature of oil and components within 10oF (-12C) of ambient
air or room temperature. Final "hot set" adjustments must be
made when engine is at operating temperature. When warming
engine for hot adjustment, ensure rocker cover is installed.
l The injector and valve adjusting procedures below and in the
referenced table of specifications require that injectors be
adjusted before the valves.
l Perform this procedure for non-top stop injectors.

Using engine barring tool, rotate crankshaft pulley until the mark 1-6 VS (8) is aligned with
pointer (9) on gearcase cover (7).
