Keep fire extinguisher nearby when using
drycleaning solvent.
Torque wrench (Appendix E, Item 144)
Drycleaning solvent is flammable and toxic. Do

Soft-faced hammer
When cleaning with compressed air, wear

1.
Remove nut (6) and washer (5) from accessory drive pulley (2).
2.
Using mechanical puller, remove accessory drive pulley (2) from accessory driveshaft (4).
3.
Remove gasket (1) from accessory drive pulley (2). Discard gasket (1).
NOTE
Perform step 4 only if dowel pin is damaged.
4.
Remove dowel pin (3) from accessory driveshaft (4). Discard dowel pin (3).
1.
Remove five screw-assembled lockwashers (9) from accessory drive front flange (10). Discard screw-
assembled lockwashers (9).
2.
Using soft-faced hammer, loosen accessory drive housing (8) and gasket (7) from engine block
gearcase (11) and remove housing (8) and gasket (7) from gearcase (11). Discard gasket (7) and clean
gasket remains from mating surfaces of accessory drive housing and engine block gearcase.
