MATERIALS/PARTS
Six lockwashers (Appendix D, Item 416)
Three locknuts (Appendix D, Item 313)
Antiseize tape (Appendix C, Item 72)
Gap and plug set (Appendix C, Item 14)
CAUTION
Plug all open ports to prevent dirt or contamination from entering
engine.
NOTE
Perform this task when preparing removed engine for installation
in vehicle.
Remove
shutoff valve (1) and adapter (2) from engine oil cooler (3).

shutoff valve (7) and adapter (6) from water manifold (4).
Remove
high-temperature switch (5) from water manifold (4).

water temperature sending unit (8) from water manifold (4).
