NOTE
Step 5 is not required for M932/A1/A2 vehicles.

Remove nut (4), lockwasher (3), washer (2), eyebolt (1), washer (2), and eyebolt plate (6) from rear
cargo bed (5). Discard lockwasher (3).
6.
Lower A-frame legs (13) and (18) on front bumper (14) to ground.
7.
Remove nut (22), nut (7), washer (8), harness (21), and leg spacer (9) from each end of spreader tube
stud (10).
8.
Remove spreader tube stud (10) and spreader tube (12) from two leg extension tubes (11).
9.
Remove two safety pins (19) from pins (20).
10.
Remove two pins (20) and detach leg extension tubes (11) from A-frame legs (13) and (18).

Remove two safety pins (16) from pins (17).
12.
Remove two pins (17) from two front brackets (15).
Remove A-frame legs (13) and (18) from two front brackets (15).

Inspect all metal components of A-frame kit. Replace if bent, cracked, or broken.
2.
Inspect harness (21). Replace frayed, broken, or loose or missing clamps.
NOTE
If A-frame kit is not to be installed, perform follow-on tasks. Do
not perform installation, task c.
WARNING
Do not perform this procedure near high voltage wires. Vehicle
will become charged with electricity if A-frame contacts or breaks
high voltage wire. Do not leave vehicle while high voltage line is in
contact with A-frame or vehicle. Failure to do so may result in
injury to personnel.
1.
Install A-frame legs (13) and (18) on two front brackets (15).
2.
Install two pins (17) on front brackets (15).
3.
Install two safety pins (16) on pins (17).
4.
Install leg extension tubes (11) on A-frame legs (13) and (18) with two pins (20).
5.
Install two safety pins (19) on pins (20).
6.
Install spreader tube (12) and spreader tube stud (10) on two leg extension tubes (11).
7.
Install leg spacer (9), harness (21), washer (8), nut (7), and nut (22) on each end of spreader tube
stud (10).
8.
Raise A-frame legs (13) and (18) on front bumper (14) to original position.
NOTE
Step 9 is not required for M932/A1/A2 vehicles.
9.
Install eyebolt plate (6) on rear cargo bed (5) with washer (2), eyebolt (1), washer (2), new
lockwasher 31, and nut (4).
