General mechanic's tool kit (Appendix E, Item 1)
Parking brake set (TM 9-2320-272-10).
MATERIALS/PARTS
GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Wear hand protection when handling winch cable.
Two locknuts (Appendix D, Item 354)
PERSONNEL REQUIRED
Two
1.
Remove four screws (5), lockwashers (4), washers (3), and rear cable guard (2) from boom (1).
Discard lockwashers (4).
2.
Remove two locknuts (7), screws (9), and spacers (6) from inner boom (8). Discard locknuts (7).
WARNING
Wear hand protection when handling winch cable. Broken wires
may cause injury to personnel.
NOTE
Maintain manual tension on hoist cable when removing block from
cable clevis.
3.
Unwind hoist cable (12) (TM 9-2320-272-10) until snatch block (13) touches ground. Place hoist
control in NEUTRAL position.
4.
Remove nut (11), anchor bolt (14), and cable clevis (10) from snatch block (13).
5.
Install anchor bolt (14) and nut (11) on snatch block (13) for storage.
