Torque wrench (Appendix E, Item 144)
Parking brake set (TM 9-2320-272-10).
MATERIALS/PARTS
Four locknuts (Appendix D, Item 284)
Four lockwashers (Appendix D, Item 377)
Gasket (Appendix D, Item 166)
Woodruff key (Appendix D, Item 735)
Cap and plug set (Appendix C, Item 14)
CAUTION
When disconnecting hydraulic lines and hoses, plug all openings to
prevent dirt from entering and causing internal damage to parts.
NOTE
Have drainage container ready to catch oil.
Tag lines and hoses for installation.
1.
Disconnect two steel hydraulic lines (5) from elbows (1).
2.
Disconnect two hydraulic flex hoses (9) from two steel hydraulic lines (5).
3.
Remove four locknuts (8), washers (7), and clamps (6) from boom (4). Discard locknuts (8).
4.
Turn two steel hydraulic lines (5) until clear of hoist motor (2).
5.
Remove four screws (10), lockwashers (11), hoist motor (2), and gasket (3) from winch gearbox
adapter (12). Discard lockwashers (11) and gasket (3). Clean gasket remains from mating surface.
6.
Remove woodruff key (13) from gear shaft (14).
1.
Install woodruff key (13) in slot of gear shaft (14) on hoist motor (2).
2.
Install hoist motor (2) on winch gearbox adapter (12) with four new lockwashers (11) and screws (10).
Tighten screws (10) 60-70 lb-ft (81-95 N-m).
3.
Connect two steel hydraulic lines (5) to elbows (1).
4.
Install two steel hydraulic lines (5) on boom (4) with four clamps (6), washers (7), and new
locknuts (8).
5.
Connect two hydraulic flex hoses (9) to two steel hydraulic lines (5).
