Sixteen rivets (parking brake) (Appendix D,

Thirty-two rivets (service brake) (Appendix D,
Item 544)
Two brakeshoe linings (parking brake)
(Appendix D, Item 16)
Two brakeshoe linings (service brake)

CAUTION
All parking brakeshoe linings must be replaced as matched sets.
Failure to do so may result in damage to equipment.
Service brakeshoe linings must be maintained in sets of four. Do
not intermix brake linings from different kits. Damage to
equipment may result.
a. Parking Brakeshoe Disassembly
1.
Using brake reliner, remove twelve rivets (1) from each brakeshoe (3). Refer to TM 9-4919-443-12
for instructions on using brake reliner. Discard rivets (1).
2.
Remove brake linings (2) from brakeshoes (3). Discard brake linings (2).
b. Service Brakeshoe Disassembly
1.
Using brake reliner, remove twenty rivets (4) from each brakeshoe (6). Refer to TM 9-4919-443-12
for instructions on using brake reliner. Discard rivets (4).
2.
Remove brake linings (5) from brakeshoes (6). Discard brake linings (5).
