Disconnect vent lines (1) and (2), secondary line (11), and spring brake override line (10) and remove

two adapter elbows (13), elbow (14), and tee fitting (15) from left and right spring brakes (12).
Remove primary line (6), secondary line (8), and two adapter fittings (5) from mounting plate (9).

Remove two screws (3), lockwashers (4), and mounting plate (9) from differential housing (7).

Discard lockwashers (4).
Remove two nuts (16), washers (17), U-bolt (21), and U-bolt bracket (22) from right and left spring

brakes (12).
NOTE
Assistant will help with step 10.
Remove nut (23), lockwasher (24), washer (25), screw (18), washer (19), and brake chamber

bracket (26) from right and left upper spring brackets (20). Discard lockwashers (24).
Remove two nuts (36), washers (35), U-bolt (31), and U-bolt bracket (32) from right and left service

brake chambers (30).
Remove nut (33), lockwasher (34), washer (28), screw (27), washer (28), and brake chamber

bracket (29) from right and left upper spring brackets (30). Discard lockwashers (34).
NOTE
Assistant will help with steps 13 through 15.
Remove two nuts (41), lockwashers (40), and screws (39) from two upper torque rod brackets (37)

and upper torque rod plates (42). Upper torque rod brackets (37) will remain attached to torque
rods (38). Discard lockwashers (40).
Remove two nuts (46), lockwashers (45), screws (43), and right and left upper spring brackets (20)

from left and right lead springs (47) and dowel pin (48) on rear axle (44). Discard lockwashers (45).
Remove spring seat wearpads (49) from right and left upper spring brackets (20).

NOTE
Assistant will help with steps 16 and 17.
Raise hydraulic jack and remove jack stands from rear axle (44).

Remove rear axle (44) from vehicle.
