Install air dryer (2) on mounting bracket (11) with four washers (23), screws (22), washers (261, and
new locknuts (27).

Install line (24) on elbow (3).

Install tube (23) on elbow (5).

Install screw (18), new lockwasher (19), ground wire (20), and new locknut (21) on right-side
frame rail (17).
25.
Install new tiedown strap (30) on tube (31) and ground wire (20).
26.
Install tube (31) on elbow (9).
NOTE
Perform steps 27 and 28 for M927/A1/2, M928/A1/A2, and
M934/A1/A2 vehicles.
27.
Install adapter (35) on wet reservoir adapter (36).
28.
Install tube (31) on adapter (35).
NOTE
Perform steps 29 through 31 for M923/A1/A2 and M925/A1/A2
vehicles.
29.
Install bushing (33) on wet reservoir adapter (34).
30.
Install elbow (32) on bushing (33).
31.
Install tube (31) on elbow (32).
32.
Connect wire (28) to thermostat connector (29) on air dryer (2).
FOLLOW-ON TASKS: Connect battery ground cables (para. 3-126).
Start engine, allow air system to reach normal operating pressure, and check air
system for leaks (TM 9-2320-272-10).
