EQUIPMENT CONDITION
l Parking brake set (TM 9-2320-272-10).
MATERIALS/PARTS
l Dump body raised (M929/A1/A2, M930/A1/A2)
(TM 9-2320-272-10).
Two locknuts (Appendix D, Item 294)
Two insulators (Appendix D, Item 261)
l Cab top removed (TM 9-2320-272-10).
l Spare tire removed (TM 9-2320-272-10).
a. Removal
1.
Pull back insulation and remove two locknuts (7) and washers (6) from cab (9) and frame (8).
Discard locknuts (7).
CAUTION
Raise rear of cab enough to remove insulators. Damage to cab will
result if raised too high.
Using overhead lifting device, raise cab (9) until clear of insulators (5).
2.
Remove two screws (4), washers (3), and springs (2) from inside cab (9).
3.
Remove two insulators (5). Discard insulators (5).

b. Installation
1.
Position two new insulators (5) between cab (9) and frame (8).
Install two washers (3), springs (2), and screws (4) through insulators (5).
2.
Lower cab (9) to frame (8) and remove lifting device
3.
Install two washers (6) and new locknuts (7) on screws (4) and tighten until washers (3) are even
4.
with cab (9) floor.
