General mechanic's tool kit (Appendix E, Item 1)
Torque wrench (Appendix E, Item 144)
l Parking brake set (TM 9-2320-272-10).
l Battery box removed (para. 3-128).
a. Driver's Seatbelt Removal
1.
Remove screw (7), washer (6), retractor (5), washer (4), tether assembly (3), and spacer (2) from seat
rod (1).
2.
Remove nut (8), washer (9), screw (13), washer (12), tether assembly (3), and washer (11) from
vertical channel (10).
3.
Remove nut (14), washer (15), bracket (16), screw (19), washer (20), tether assembly (21),
washer (18), and sleeve (17) from left diagonal channel (22).
4.
Remove screw (29), washer (28), seatbelt buckle (26), washer (23), and tether assembly (21) from
seat rod (24).
5.
Remove seatbelt buckle (26) from between driver's seat (27) and seat backrest support (25).
b. Driver's Seatbelt Installation
1.
Position seatbelt buckle (26) between seat backrest support (25) and driver's seat (27).
2.
Install tether assembly (21), washer (23), seatbelt buckle (26), washer (28), and screw (29) on seat
rod (24).
3.
Install sleeve (17), washer (18), tether assembly (21), washer (20), screw (19), bracket (16),
washer (15), and nut (14) on left diagonal channel (22). Tighten nut (14) 20-25 lb-ft (27-34 Nl m).
4.
Install spacer (2), tether assembly (3), washer (4), retractor (5), washer (6), and screw (7) on seat
rod (1).
5.
Install washer (11), tether assembly (3), washer (12), screw (13), washer (9), and nut (8) on vertical
channel (10). Tighten nut (8) 40-45 lb-ft (54-61 N.m).
