EQUIPMENT CONDITION
Parking brake set (TM 9-2320-272-10).
MATERIALS/PARTS
Hood raised and secured (TM 9-2320-272-10).
Three cotter pins (Appendix D, Item 71)
GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Locknut (Appendix D,Item 334)
Do not touch hot exhaust system components with
bare hands.
WARNING
Do not handle hot exhaust tube with bare hands. Injury to
personnel may result.
1.
Remove locknut (3), washer (2), screw (l), and clamp (12) from firewall (6) and exhaust tube (10).
Discard locknut (3).
2.
Remove cotter pin (9) and exhaust tube (10) from elbow (8). Discard cotter pin (9).
3.
Remove cotter pins (7) and (4) and elbows (8) and (11) from heater exhaust outlet (5). Discard cotter
pins (4) and (7).
1.
Install elbows (11) and (8) on heater exhaust outlet (5) with new cotter pins (4) and (7).
2.
Install exhaust tube (10) on elbow (8) with new cotter pin (9).
3.
Install clamp (12) on exhaust tube (10) and firewall (6) with screw (l), washer (2), and new
locknut (3).
