Using chain and lifting device, lift boom (1) and install crane shipper braces (TM 9-2320-272-10).

Using utility chain and lifting device, raise boom (1) and remove shipper braces (TM 9-2320-272-10).

Install elevating cylinder (11) on turntable (12) with lower retaining pin (8) and new cotter pin (7).
3.
Install elevating cylinder (11) on boom (1) with upper retaining pin (2), new lockwasher (3), and
screw (4). Tighten screw (4) 44-61 lb-ft (60-83 Nm).
4.
Connect cylinder oil supply line (5) to snubber valve (9).
5.
Connect oil return (5) line to cylinder adapter fitting (10).
6.
Remove lifting device and chain from boom (1).
FOLLOW-ON TASKS: Fill hydraulic oil reservoir to proper level (LO 9-2320-272-12).
Operate crane through full elevating range (TM 9-2320-272-10) and check for
leaks at oil lines and cylinder.
