Remove cap (1), O-rings (2) and (11), housing (3), and piston (4) from shaft (5). Discard cap (1) and
O-rings (2) and (11).

Remove exterior O-ring (10) and interior O-ring (9) from piston (4). Discard O-rings (9) and (10).
NOTE
Perform step 12 if pipe or fitting is damaged.

Remove fitting (7) and pipe (6) from bracket (8).
13.
Remove two bearings (13) and spacer (15) from housing (3) as follows:
a. Position housing (3) on arbor press with fan hub (12) facing up.

Remove roller bearing (20) from pulley (17) as follows:
a. Remove retaining ring (16) from front of pulley (17). Discard retaining ring (16).
b. Remove snapring (18) from back of pulley (17).
c. Position pulley (17) on arbor press with front facing up.
d. Press roller bearing (20) and sleeve (19) through bore of pulley (17). Discard roller bearing (20)
and sleeve (19).
b. Cleaning and Inspection

For general cleaning instructions, refer to para. 2-14.

Inspect housing (3), pulley (17), spacer (22), bracket (8), shaft (5), piston (4), and thrust cap (21) for
chips, cracks, and bends. Replace damaged part(s).
3.
Inspect housing (3), pulley (17), and shaft (5) for gouged or stripped threads. Repair or replace
damaged part(s).
