Loosen hose clamp (23) and disconnect heater hose (21) from shutoff valve (24).
2.
Remove shutoff valve (24) and adapter (22) from oil cooler (17).
3.
Loosen two hose clamps (19) and disconnect surge tank-to-oil cooler hose (20) and transmission
cooler-to-oil cooler hose (18) from oil cooler (17).
4.
Disconnect air compressor coolant line (12) and bushing (11) from oil cooler elbow (1). Discard
bushing (11).
5.
Remove five screws (16), lockwashers (15), oil cooler (17), and gasket (14) from engine block (13).
Discard lockwashers (15) and gasket (14). Clean gasket remains from engine block (13) and oil
cooler (17) mating surfaces.

Remove four screws (2), lockwashers (3), cooler housing (6), and gasket (9) from oil cooler end
cover (10). Discard lockwashers (3) and gasket (9), and clean gasket remains from mating surfaces
of end cover (10) and cooler housing (6).
2.
Remove pipe plug (5), elbow (1), two retaining rings (8), O-rings (7), and oil cooler element (4) from
oil cooler end cover (10). Discard retaining rings (8) and O-rings (7).
