EQUIPMENT CONDITION
Parking brake set (TM 9-2320-272-10).
MATERIALS/PARTS
Right splash shield removed (TM 9-2320-272-10).
Five locknuts (Appendix D, Item 291)
1.
Remove three locknuts (5), screws (l), and washers (2) from stone shield (11), frame rail (13), and
transmission oil cooler support (12). Discard locknuts (5).
2.
Remove locknut (4), cable clamp (3), screw (8), and washer (9) from stone shield (11) and
transmission oil cooler support (12). Discard locknut (4).
3.
Remove locknut (4), screw (7), and washer (6) from stone shield (11). Discard locknut (4).
4.
Remove two screws (7), washers (6), splash shield guide (10), and stone shield (11) from
transmission oil cooler support (12).
b. Installation
1.
Install stone shield (11) on frame rail (13) and transmission oil cooler support (12) with three
washers (2), screws (1), and new locknuts (5).
2.
Install cable clamp (3) and stone shield (11) on transmission oil cooler support (12) with washer (9),
screw (8), and locknut (4).
3.
Secure stone shield (11) with washer (6), screw (7), and new locknut (4).
4.
Install stone shield (11) and splash shield guide (10) on transmission oil cooler support (12) with two
washers (6) and screws (7).
