12-37. VAN HEATER AND EXHAUST REPLACEMENT (Contd)
b. Installation
1.
Apply antiseize tape to male threads of heater fuel valve (16) and heater nipple (17).
2.
Install two seals (9) on van body (3) with eight screws (4).
3.
Install two brackets (8) on heater (5) with five screws (21) and new lockwashers (19).
4.
Install heater exhaust pipe (10) on heater (5).
NOTE
Assistant will help with step 5.
5.
Place heater (5) in van body (3).
Install bracket (8) on van body (3) with four screws (6) and new lockwashers (7).
6.
Install ground strap (20) on bracket (8) and heater (5) with screw (21) and new lockwasher (19).
7.
Install fuel overflow line (22) on fitting (17) with nut (18).
8.
Install fuel receptacle line (24) on heater fuel valve (16) with nut (23).

Connect external fuel pump receptacle connector (25) to heater (5).
11.
Connect power receptacle connector (15) to heater (5).
12.
Connect room thermostat connector (26) to heater (5).
13.
