2. With new oil filter element (3) [6] installed, fill

crankcase with 27 qt (25.5 L) of engine

lubricating oil.

3. Start engine (TM 9-2320-260-10) and visually

check for oil leaks at drain plug (6) and oil filter

housing (4).

4. Stop engine for approximately one minute to allow

oil to drain back into pan (8).

5. Recheck oil level with dipstick.
