(2) The warranty period shall begin on the date the new M939 Series Truck is
delivered and/or put in service by the user.
(3) The owner is responsible for the performance of regular maintenance services.
The owner is responsible for the replacement of maintenance items (such as filters, screens,
transmission fluid) made in connection with normal maintenance services.
(4) The owner is responsible for costs due to loss of time, inconvenience, loss of use
of the vehicle.
(5) This warranty covers only malfunctions resulting from defects in material or
workmanship. This warrenty does not cover:
Malfunctions resulting from misuse, negligence, alterations, accident or lack of performance
of normal maitnenance services;
Any transmission which shall have been repaired by other than an authorized Detroit Diesel
Allison service outlet so as in any way, in the judgment of Detroit Diesel Allison, to affect
Section III. SERVICE/WARRANTY PROCEDURES
If a warranty problem occurs, the Direct Support/General Support Unit will determine how
repairs may best be accomplished by use of one of the following procedures. Warranty
procedures are outlined herein as follows:
