Pull slide latch release lever (3) to the locked open position with release tool (1).
CAUTION
When positioning the fifth wheel three notches rearward listen for three
distinct and loud clicking sounds. When the third clicking sound is heard you
are in the correct position to tow M900 series or XM1098 trailer. Failure to
comply may result in damage to equipment.
When in the third notch rearward one tooth of the rack will be exposed.
Failure to comply may result in damage to equipment.
NOTE
The following step requires the aid of an assistant.

Position fifth wheel (4) in third notch as shown.

Release slide latch release lever (3) with release tool (1).
