6. Install flagged safety pin (11) in manual tailgate release rod (12).
CAUTION
Use care when stowing tailgate chains. They can interfere with tailgate
hinge operation. Failure to comply may result in damage to equipment.
7.
Stow chain (15) in upper adjustment fitting (16).
8.
Perform steps (4) through (7) on RH side.

Ensure flagged safety pin and manual release handle pin are
installed prior to using bottom hinge option. Failure to comply
may result in injury to personnel.
