b. Cleaning and Inspection
For general cleaning instructions, refer to para. 2-14.

WARNING
Drycleaning solvent is flammable and toxic. Do not use near on
open flame and always have a fire extinguisher nearby when
solvents are used. Use only in well-ventilated places, wear
protective clothing, and dispose of cleaning rags in approved
container. Failure to do this may result in injury to personnel
and/or damage to equipment.
Compressed air source will not exceed 30 psi (207 kPa). When
cleaning with compressed air, eyeshields must be worn. Failure
to do so may result in injury to personnel.
For general inspection instructions, refer to para. 2-15.

Replace all parts failing inspection.

Inspect bushing (22) of pump body (12) and pump cover (23) for excessive wear or gouging. Replace

Install new oil seal (21) in pump body (12) with rubber side facing downward. Ensure oil seal (21) is

Install new oil seal (20) in pump body (12) with rubber side facing upward. Ensure oil seal (20) is

Install locating pin (11) and new O-ring (13) on pump body (12).
Apply petrolatum to two new seals (8) and new O-rings (7) and install in end plate (9).

Align notch (10) of end plate (9) with locating pin (11) and install end plate (9) in pump body (12).

Align notch (14) of port plate (6) with locating pin (11) and install port plate (6) in pump body (12).

NOTE
Ensure arrow of cam points clockwise when installing.
Identification groove must face splines of shaft when installing
carrier.

Align notch (15) of cam (5) with locating pin (11) and cam (5) in body (12). Ensure arrow (4) points
clockwise.
Install drive pin (16), carrier (2), and snapring (18) on shaft (3). Ensure identification groove (17)

Lubricate shaft (3) and carrier (2) with clean engine oil and install in pump body (12).

Lubricate ten rollers (1) with clean engine oil and install in carrier (2).
10.
Apply petrolatum to new O-ring (24) and install on pump body (12).

Install pump cover (23) on pump body (12) with five screws (25).
