EQUIPMENT CONDITION
General mechanic's tool kit (Appendix E, Item 1)
Hood raised and secured (TM 9-2320-272-10).
MATERIALS/PARTS
Left splash shield removed (TM 9-2320-272-10).
O-ring (Appendix D, Item 445)
Two lockwashers (Appendix D, Item 407)
Cap and plug set (Appendix C, Item 14)
1.
Disconnect fuel line (2) from manual fuel shutoff valve (1).
2.
Remove nut (7) and wires (6) from terminal (8).
3.
Loosen screw (5) on clip (3) and remove clip (3) and fuel shutoff control cable (4) from manual fuel
shutoff valve (1).
4.
Remove manual fuel shutoff valve (1) from fuel shutoff valve (11).
5.
Remove two screws (14), lockwashers (13), washers (12), fuel shutoff valve (11), and O-ring (9) from
fuel pump (10). Plug openings in fuel pump (10) and discard O-ring (9) and lockwashers (13).
1.
Unplug openings in fuel pump (10) and install new O-ring (9) and fuel shutoff valve (11) on fuel
pump (10) with two new lockwashers (13), washers (12), and screws (14).
2.
Install manual fuel shutoff valve (1) on fuel shutoff valve (11).
3.
Ensuring shutoff lever is in forward position, install fuel shutoff control cable (4) on manual fuel
shutoff valve (1) with clip (3) and tighten screw (5).
4.
Install wires (6) on terminal (8) with nut (7).
5.
Connect fuel line (2) to manual fuel shutoff valve (1).
