Disconnect tachometer pulse sender (10) from tachometer drive housing (9).

Disconnect primer pump fuel line (4), inlet fuel line (5), and fuel outlet line (3) from inlet adapter
elbow (6) and fuel outlet line fitting (2).
10.
Disconnect two connectors (7) from ether start fuel pressure switch (8) and remove ether start fuel
pressure switch (8) from bottom of fuel pump (1).
NOTE
Steps 11 through 13 apply to fuel pump with VS governor only.

Remove two screws (16) and air cylinder bracket (17) from VS governor (11).
WARNING
Do not disconnect air line before draining air reservoirs. Small
parts under pressure may shoot out with high velocity, causing
injury to personnel.
12.
Remove air line (15) and adapter (14) from air cylinder (13).
13.
Remove nut (12) and air cylinder (17) from bracket (12).
14.
Remove three screws (24), washers (25), screw (23), lockwasher (22). washer (21), and fuel
pump (1) from air compressor (18). Discard lockwasher (32).
15.
Remove rubber spider coupling (20) and fuel pump gasket (19) from air compressor (18). Discard
gasket (19). Clean gasket remains from mating surfaces of air compressor (18) and rubber spider
coupling (20).
b. Installation
1.
Place new gasket (19) and rubber spider coupling (20) on air compressor (18).
2.
Align fuel pump drive (26) with rubber spider coupling (20) on air compressor (18) and install fuel
pump (1) on air compressor (18) with three washers (25). screws (24), washer (21), new
lockwasher (22), and screw (23).
NOTE
Squirt clean oil into pump through adapter elbow hole. This aids
fuel pickup and provides pump lubrication on initial start.

Connect tachometer pulse sender (10) to tachometer drive housing (9).
4.
Connect primer pump fuel line (4), inlet fuel line (5), and fuel outlet line (3) to inlet adapter elbow (6)
and fuel outlet line fitting (2).
5.
Install ether start fuel pressure switch (8) on fuel pump (1).
6.
Connect two connectors (7) to ether start fuel pressure switch (8).
Place fuel shutoff control cable (32) through hole in shutoff lever clamp (29). Ensure shutoff lever (30)

is in the forward position and tighten screw (28).
8.
Connect fuel line (31) to fuel shutoff valve (33).
Connect two wires (34) to shutoff valve terminal (36) with nut (35).
9.
Install fuel pressure transducer (37) in fuel pump (1) and connect to lead (27).
10.
NOTE
Steps 11 through 13 apply to fuel pump with VS governor only.
Install air cylinder bracket (17) on VS governor (11) with two screws (16).
11.
Install air cylinder (13) on bracket (17) with nut (12).
12.
Apply antiseize tape to male threads of adapter (14) and air line (15) and install on air cylinder (13).
