f. Installation and Timing
1.
Install drive coupling (2) in accessory drive housing (1) over accessory driveshaft (3).
NOTE
l If installing a new air compressor, use fitting from old
compressor. Clean all male pipe threads and wrap with sealing
tape before installation.
l Ensure oil passage holes in new gasket are open, and align with
oil passages before installation.

Align new gasket (6) on accessory drive housing (1).

Using engine barring tool, rotate engine to 1-6 valve set position index mark (4).

Set air compressor timing mark pointing between 9 and 10 o'clock looking at coupling end and install
air compressor (10) on accessory drive housing (1) with two screws (5), washers (7), screws (13), new
lockwashers (9), washers (7), and nuts (8).
5.
Install ground strap (11) on air compressor (10) with screw (12).
6.
Rotate bracket (17) upward and install on air compressor (10) and engine (16) with new screw-
assembled lockwashers (15) and (19) and washers (14) and (18). Tighten screw (20).
