b. Disassembly
Install mounting plate on air compressor (9) with two screws (8).

Install mounting plate and air compressor (9) in vise.

WARNING
Unloader valve assembly must be held down during removal.
Small parts under pressure may shoot out, causing injury to
personnel.
Remove two screws (4), washers (5), unloader valve assembly (1), unloader valve spring (2), intake

valve assembly (3), and intake valve spring (6) from cylinder head cover (7).
Remove unloader valve cap (18), packing seal (17), and O-ring (16) from unloader valve body (15).

Discard packing seal (17) and O-ring (16).
Remove intake valve seat (19) and disc valve (20) from intake assembly valve (3).

Remove four screws (21), washers (23), lockwashers (22), cylinder head cover (7), and gasket (24)

from cylinder head (31). Discard lockwashers (22) and gasket (24).
Remove cylinder head (31) and gasket (32) from crankcase (33). Discard gasket (32).

Using arbor press, remove exhaust valve seat (26) from the bottom side of cylinder head (31).

Remove O-ring (25), packing seal (27), and exhaust valve (28) from exhaust valve seat. (26). Discard

Remove wear plate (30) and exhaust valve spring (29) from cylinder head (31).

CAUTION
Use care when removing crankshaft from connecting rod.
Crankshaft must be 90 before or after Top Dead Center (TDC) of
piston for ease of removal. Failure to do so may damage
connecting rod and crankshaft.
Remove front support (37), gasket (36), and crankshaft (41) from crankcase (33) as an assembly.

Discard gasket (36).

Remove pipe plug (42) from crankshaft (41).
Using arbor press, remove drive coupling (39), thrust washer (40), and crankshaft (41) from front
