MATERIALS/PARTS
Front lifting shackle brackets removed
Ten locknuts (Appendix D, Item 294)
Twelve locknuts- (M936/A1)
(Appendix D, Item 294)
Eight locknuts (Appendix D, Item 319)
Four lockwashers (M936/A1)
(Appendix D, Item 350)
a. Removal
1.
Remove four locknuts (10) and (12), and screws (5) and (4) from front bumper (2) and two lower
plates (13). Discard locknuts (10) and (12).
NOTE
Perform step 2 for M9361A1 model vehicles.
2.
Remove six locknuts (9), (11), and (19), screws (14), (6), and (15), four lockwashers (16), two chock
anchors (17), and lower plates (13) from front bumper (2) and frame (18). Discard
lockwashers (16) and locknuts (9), (11), and (19).
3.
Remove two locknuts (9) and (11), screws (14) and (6), and two lower plates (13) from front
bumper (2) and frame (18). Discard locknuts (9) and (11).
4.
Remove four locknuts (7), screws (3), and bumper (2) from two upper plates (20). Discard
locknuts (7).
5.
Remove two locknuts (8), screws (1), and upper plates (20) from frame (18). Discard locknuts (8).
b. Installation
Install two upper plates (20) on frame (18) with two screws (1) and new locknuts (8).

NOTE
The bumper is inverted on winch model vehicles.
2.
Install bumper (2) on two upper plates (20) with four screws (3) and new locknuts (7).
NOTE
Perform step 3 for M936/A1 model vehicles.
3.
Install two chock anchors (17) and lower plates (13) on front bumper (2) and frame (18) with four
new lockwashers (16), six screws (14), (6), and (15), and new locknuts (9), (11), and (19).
4.
Install two lower plates (13) on front bumper (2) and frame (18) with two screws (14) and (6) and
new locknuts (9) and (11).
5.
Install four screws (4) and (5) in front bumper (2) and two lower plates (13) with four new locknuts (10)
and (12).
