Step 5. Touch multimeter positive lead to lead 5 of alternator terminal.
a. Multimeter should indicate battery voltage.
b. If battery voltage is indicated, repair broken lead 568 (para. 3-131).
c. If battery voltage is not indicated, go to step 6.
